The Young Alumnae Giving program encompasses classes within the first ten years of graduation (excluding Reunion classes) and calls on them to build on their connection to The College and one another by giving annually to the Sweet Briar Annual Fund.

It is a time honored tradition. Recent graduates join the exclusive ranks of Sweet Briar Alumnae. They enjoy the benefits of membership to this vast network of those who have gone before them, and they are the connective bridge to future graduates. It is about class unity. It is about women supporting women through philanthropy and volunteering. It is about the Sweet Briar Promise from one alumna to another, to yet another.

Young alumnae’s giving makes a difference and contributed $29,426 to the Annual Fund in 2008.

“It is a marvelous experience to attend a school like SBC, and a major reason that it is such a unique and thriving college is because of our strong and supportive alumnae. It is now our responsibility to join with those women and support a flourishing future for the students and community. ”

"Giving - and the giving every year - makes an enormous impact to the College regardless of the size of your gift. You can help strengthen Sweet Briar's ability to serve students through scholarships, research opportunities and extracurricular activities. Personally, I love giving back to an institution that has given me so much."
