Sweet Briar is rich in her traditions and history. Just as the College encourages student engagement at all levels, we also welcome families to have their own “Sweet Briar Experience.”

Sweet Briar College began as an enduring gift from Indiana Fletcher Williams in honor of her daughter, Daisy, and the strong tradition of parent giving continues. The Parent Steering Committee is a volunteer organization that promotes parent involvement in the College through financial support, networking with fellow parents, and a collective voice to promote the College’s mission. The Parent Steering Committee is vital to Sweet Briar, and the input of the parents on the committee is priceless.
