Sweet Briar has several Gift Recognition Societies. Membership is cumulative and all gifts made within the giving year (July 1 through June 30) are counted. This includes both unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund and restricted gifts, such as gifts to named scholarships, gifts to Friends organizations, planned gifts, and gifts in kind. Matching gifts also count in this total.

The Silver Rose Society recognizes the College’s most dedicated supporters who have given to Sweet Briar for 25 years. Also, those who have named Sweet Briar College in their estate plans join the growing ranks of the Indiana Fletcher Williams Associates.

Leadership Giving:

  • Fountain Society - $5,000 to $9,999
  • Boxwood Circle - $2,500 to $4,999
  • Oak Society - $1,000 to $2,499
  • Golden Stair Society - $500 to $999
  • Junior Bench Society - $250 to $499
  • Hitching post Society - $100 to $249
